The morning of Day2, many students may stayed up late, but they got up early and were very energetic! I know it’s very fun to spend time with friends!

In the morning, we enjoyed Lake Aoki.
It was the most exciting activity in the camp.
Students got on their group boats and rowed them by themselves. Some of them even jumped into the lake.
When they came back to the shore, everyone looked really happy!

One of the important tasks for the older students was interviewing foreigners staying in Hakuba to learn why they chose this area.
After finishing their interviews, each group thought about answer to why the foreigners chose Hakuba and made a draft for their presentation.
They interviewed the staff of this activity many times. When they first heard about this task, many students hesitated to talk to foreginers, but they challenged themselves and bravely tried to speak with them.

In the afternoon, the students were divided into two groups.
The older group went to Iwatake, an area with many foreigners, to interviews for their task.
One student said to me “Before the interview, I felt really nervous. But once I tried speaking to foreigners, I realized it wasn’t as difficult as I have imagined. After that, I talked a lot with many foreigners.”
In everyday life, it’s hard to have opportunities to talk with foreigners in English, so it was a really valuable experience for them.

The other members enjoyed various activities in and around the hotel.
Although they usually depend on the older students, they had to do the activities on their own this time.It was also a good opportunity for them! They had to find foreigners around the hotel and did an interview. They did it!! Great job!!

After dinner, we had a talent show.
I really like this time.
Anyone who wants to show their talent comes to the front and performs something.
Many students had already planned what to do, but when the show started, some of them hesitated.
But after doing their best, everyone gave them a big round of applause.

It’s finally presentation day!
The rest continues in the Day3 blog.
