We joined English Camping in Hakuba again this year!
9 students joined this time.
It was an amazing camping trip!
Let me share what we did.
We took a train from Nagoya to Hakuba. In the first half of the ride, some students talked a bit too loudly, but in the second half, they were calm and didn’t bother anyone.
The camp began with an icebreaker. Students introduced themselves using the self‑introduction sheets they had prepared, and they had plenty of opportunities to speak English.
Students worked in groups during the camp.
First, each group build a marshmallow tower using pasta and masking tape.
They competed to see how tall they could make it, and there was also a rule that the marshmallow on top had to stay still for five seconds.
Next, we moved on to the outdoor activities. We held a mini sports day, and the team competition made everyone excited. It was a wonderful time that strengthened the bonds within each team.
We had dinner outside- hamburgers, french fries and fruit punch. Just eating outside made everyone feel excited!
After dinner, we all watched the English movie ” Zootopia 2″ together on a big screen.
During the break time, students played games, chatted, and enjoyed the table tennis with the foreign staff. They had a lot of fun!
The first day was full of activities. Studets quickly bonded with other camp members and staff.
